Global High School
Business Competiton

(GHBC)

GHBC 2025 – Global High School Business Competition is an international business competition exclusively for high school students, held annually with the goal of inspiring young minds to develop strategic thinking, creativity, and an entrepreneurial spirit. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to join the 2025 season as the Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee and Director of Logistics - a challenging role that also brought me countless unforgettable experiences.

Although the official competition lasted only about two months, including the preparation phase, I had been working with GHBC for nearly a year. This was the second season of the competition and a turning point, as we decided to expand it internationally - welcoming contestants from multiple countries. That meant everything - from content and rules to logistics and finance - had to be planned far more carefully and professionally than in the first season.

As the Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, I was responsible for coordinating across departments, overseeing the project’s overall progress, and ensuring every component of the event met deadlines and quality standards. I also acted as the bridge between the Organizing Committee and the working teams, supporting problem-solving throughout both the preparation and execution stages.

In my role as Director of Logistics, I planned the entire logistics framework for each round - from venue setup, equipment, personnel, and setup timelines to materials distribution and on-site supervision. I also collaborated with sponsors and suppliers to secure adequate resources, while working closely with the content and design teams on case development, scoring systems, and all visual assets (banners, posters, website interface, scoring templates, etc.).

There were days when I worked straight through the night to finalize plans, but the feeling of contributing to such a large-scale, professional event made it all worthwhile.

This year’s competition attracted over 50 teams from more than 10 countries - a number that may not seem huge, but for us, it was a powerful testament to months of relentless effort. The preliminary rounds were held online, where teams tackled real-world business scenarios and presented their startup ideas before an international panel of judges.

After months of preparation, the GHBC 2025 Final Round officially took place over three consecutive days, gathering the top 10 finalist teams - including participants from Japan, the Czech Republic, Spain, and the United States.

Day 1 began with the Welcome Party to greet the teams. Since most participants traveled from abroad, we arranged accommodation in the same hotel to encourage bonding and help everyone get ready for the upcoming competition days. I was in charge of all hotel logistics - from check-in to meal coordination and transportation. It was quite stressful, but seeing everyone laughing, taking pictures, and enjoying themselves made me feel deeply fulfilled.

Day 2 was the Cultural Tour, where contestants visited Bát Tràng Pottery Village and Đền Đô Temple, exploring Vietnam’s culture and history. It was one of the most meaningful activities of GHBC 2025 - helping international participants connect with the local culture. I joined the entire trip, chatting with students from all over the world - a Japanese participant who loved handicrafts, a Spanish one eager to learn Vietnamese phrases. Though it was a tiring day of traveling, every smile made it all worth it.

Day 3 was the official Final Presentation Round, held at the grand auditorium of Phenikaa University - a stunning venue with professional lighting, sound, and stage systems. In the morning, we hosted a mini fair where teams showcased their cultures and products, filling the space with energy and excitement. In the afternoon, the final presentation round began. I managed the audience area, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Hundreds of guests, judges, students, and parents attended - and it was amazing that everything operated perfectly, without a single issue.

After the award ceremony, we wrapped up with a Pizza and Goodbye Party - a warm, emotional farewell. Both the organizing team and contestants shared memories of sleepless nights, moments of stress, and the overwhelming joy of pulling off a successful event together.

Looking back, GHBC 2025 was not just a competition - it was a journey of growth. I learned how to operate in a professional environment, manage finances for a large-scale event, coordinate teams, and communicate effectively with partners. More importantly, I learned to stay calm, flexible, and creative in every situation - lessons no classroom could ever teach. GHBC 2025 will always remain one of the most meaningful milestones of my high school years - the place where I truly understood the meaning of responsibility, passion, and the incredible power of teamwork when everyone works toward a shared goal.
